Diodes Incorporated (Diodes) (Nasdaq: DIOD) will introduce its newest PCIe® 3.0 packet switcher, the DIODES™ PI7C9X3G1224GP. This product is a high-performance 12-port, 24-channel device product that can be used in edge computing, data storage devices, communication infrastructure, and integrated into host bus adapters (HBAs), industrial controllers, and network routers.

The low packet forwarding latency of the PI7C9X3G1224GP is less than 150ns (typical). Flexible port configuration of the device is achieved by assigning a range of variable channel widths to each port. For fan-out purposes, any packet switch port can be configured as an upstream port and connected to multiple downstream ports. Through port-specific cross-domain endpoint (CDEP) configuration, multi-host configurations can be supported to improve performance and expand functionality. Adaptive receive-side and transmit-side equalization (RXEQ/TXEQ) features are included to help maintain signal integrity levels and ensure ongoing system stability.

An integrated PCIe 3.0 clock buffer is another benefit of the PI7C9X3G1224GP product. This simplifies design and reduces overall bill of materials (BOM) cost. Advanced power management features make it ideal for system designs where energy savings are important. The operating temperature is continuously monitored using its built-in thermal sensor. Also includes error reporting and other diagnostic features.

The PI7C9X3G1224GP is packaged in a 324-pin flip-chip BGA package.
