(Nasdaq: QRVO), a leading provider of RF solutions for mobile applications, infrastructure and aerospace, defense applications, today announced a partnership with MediaTek to obtain Multiple design orders, extending Qorvo's leadership in 5G smartphones, including mobile Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi routers and 5G/Wi-Fi automotive platforms.

The automotive design orders are all from Tier 1 suppliers and will enable 5G connectivity on vehicle platforms in 2023. Qorvo and MediaTek have partnered to optimize 5G automotive solutions to support enhanced safety and entertainment features, including telematics, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous driving, emergency calling (eCall), and in-vehicle connectivity and entertainment services. Qorvo has also won design orders for Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 for numerous devices including service provider gateways and smartphones.
